It's Saturday, Right?

You laugh...we have found that living in an RV we have a tendency to forget, or just not know what day it is. A Doctor coming in would find us all to have Alzheimer's I'm sure, but it's just that the things that mark time are no longer in place. It's just one long Saturday with sleeping in between. Not a bad thing as long as I make note of appointments and places I need to be with the phone alarm on.  I know, I need to get out more. hahaha!

Day #9 of the 30 Day Challenge.  8" x 10" oil on canvas.

I'm still accepting photos for paintings if you'd like to send me one.

I'll probably continue into February, 60 day challenge?? No, I'll be just painting daily then but if you do send me photos before February I will still have them for just $100.00. Cool.

Our neighbors are heading north this coming Monday to go snowmobiling.  They will leave their rig here then be back in March. We all went out to dinner last night to celebrate and to wish them well. (And to hope they brought their long johns with them.)

That's it for today..See you tomorrow and have a great night!

Warmly,
Sheila

Loosing Count Of The Days

 SOLD
 SOLD

SOLD
So is today day #9?  This last piece is a request from a friend for someone who recently lost this little pal. I hope he likes it.

It's pretty crowded in the coach today. Roger is working on a 24" x 36" and it's taking up a lot of the room. I'll be spending the afternoon doing laundry that's for sure.

I went up to the office this morning and a rep from Camping World was there. We started chatting and he has the same engine as ours. A 370 ISL Cummins. I told him about our "Issues" and he said unless the meter is in the red we probably don't have any engine damage, (shame on that manager at Cummins in Georgia telling us we should get rid of our coach or buy a new motor), but very possibly an electric issue with the miles and miles of wire going to the engine. So, feeling so much better.

Glad we are tearing out our old carpet soon. Lola "ate" one of my tubes of oil paint. Spent about 20 minutes trying to get it off her fur, her mussel, her paws, her legs...the rug.... She's fine. Watching her closely though. I don't think she ingested it, just wanted to help me. sigh.

Ok. the red blinky light on the washer/dryer combo is beckoning me...

Have a great rest of the day and chat later!!

Warmly,
Sheila

Days #4 And #5 And A Change In The Weather

The days are swirling by and I'm painting daily. Today I did bathroom cleaning first thing then got to work with my brushes.

Day #4  SOLD

Day #5 SOLD

To say I'm grateful for my sales is such an understatement. Plus I'm finding that my technique is loose and fun, plus colorful! I'm finding my joy once again!!

The hot weather here in Florida finally changed. From close to 90 degrees to 50. I'm thankful we aren't all coming down with something that involves sneezing!

The rest of the day today is laundry! I'm falling way behind, but it's all good. Tomorrow I need to get my day #6 finished then work on commission paintings and get those done. Yeah!!

So, have a great rest of the day and I'll see you all tomorrow!!

Warmly,
Sheila

Day #3 And Rain Rain Rain

Yes, today it's raining, dreary and cold. From one extreme to another. It's ok, except for taking the kids out I'm nice and cozzy inside CiCi Blue.

Today was #3 of the 30 day challenge and I succeeded.

SOLD

The background was from one of the reference photos I had received, the face of "Harley" from another. What fun to place the two together!

No happy hour today at the park. My stomach is a little off so we are taking it off too. Actually I'm thinking of making hot chocolate and cuddling with dogs on the couch!

So have a nice evening and see you tomorrow!!

Warmly,
Sheila

Day #2 of The 30 Day Challenge

Up and out with the dogs by 8:30A.M. . At 9:00 A.M. I meet with my friend Betty and go to the rec hall to do stretching exercises.  There are only 15 and we do them in succession adding in our groans and grunts! Some days more flexible then another. Sigh.

Coffee and chatting with Wendy at the office, breakfast then clean the bathrooms. Finally home. I had a good start on today's painting so I thought I would just whiz along. Ha.

       SOLD

I am finally pleased how it turned out. Tomorrow, back to dogs. Haha.  Here is the LINK to the piece.

Planning the taking out of the rug! A couple of our friends have offered to yank it out. Such an mess, I need to prepare for the house going upside down for a bit.

I just found out the day #2 painting just sold!!!! WOW. Thank you to my favorite Collector.

Have a great afternoon and see you all tomorrow for day #3!!

Warmly,
Sheila

Happy New Year And Day #1 Of The 30 Day Challenge

The start to the parks New Years Eve gathering. Amanda sparkled all evening and we had the traditional balloons to smoosh at midnight. We did karaoke, way after a few drinks, and lots of laughter.  I love waiting to hear the very first song of the New Year and last night it was Walk The Moon's "Shut Up And Dance".  I may have to have that as my pump up music for the year!! Plus, our granddaughter Kelsey is a dancer and I always think of her when I hear it.

Today is day #1 of the 30 day challenge.

This was my inspiration.

SOLD

When I first saw the photo I immediately asked the owner if I could "steal" it to use as a reference. She said "of course". I loved all the sepia tones in the photo and wondered if I could paint a piece with the same dynamic on an 8" x 10" canvas. What do you think? Oh, guess who bought it? Thank you Marcy!!!

Gratitude's...So so many. Health, family, dogs, my incredible friends, yes you!!!, CiCi Blue, and thankful for the talent God has given me. I put those randomly so I can pull one out and get excited about just one on any given day!  Today, January 1, 2016, I have sold my first 30 day painting and Roger just got a large commission!! Needless to say we are dancing around the coach thanking God, the Universe, angels and saints, (my mum would be so proud) and the dogs are dancing and barking right along with us!!! I take it as a sign that, oh yes, we are going in the right direction. We really can live the dream as artists and travel.

Roger just started to heat up the Advantium Microwave/convection oven and my job will be to pop in the Cinna buns for our New Years Day breakfast.  So we wish you a happy, healthy and yes, prosperous New Year 2016!!!

Warmly,
Sheila, Roger, Sammy, Ozzie and Lola Bear!!!
